Is it more frubalicious to post a zany tale of wit and hilarity, or to suffer the zings and furrows of those more serious threads?
![]() Its just funny, I glanced at my User Cp and noted 90% of my frubals were for silly posts, and only a few were for posts that I put my heart into. So I am asking, are frubals really a manipulative attempt to lure us away from serious posting? And to concentrate more on silliness??? And if so, which is better to do? ![]()

Quick, someone delete that last post! He's onto it!
![]() I know what you mean. When I started out, I got more frubals for serious things I said. Soon, I started making jokes more and more, and for a long time now, more often than not, my frubals are for joking posts. It does mean a little more to me when they are for something serious I said, but they're always appreciated. If they're for something funny I said, at least I know that that something was funny. I think part of it has to do with the reasons we tend to like satire. Many times, it's more profound to make a joke out of something because it can show the true nature of it better than a serious post. Sometimes, you find more truth in humor.

Well, I prefer to laugh than be serious...so to me I enjoy light hearted posts more.
I figure that life is so short we should be happy now. I think making people smile and laugh is a great gift...sometimes people go through so many things in their personal lives that others cannot see...and you can't tell the worth of what a smile or laughter means to them. ![]()

I post according to how I feel at the moment....Sometimes I try to overlook a sarcastic post directed at me by applying humor. I figure I might as well laugh as to cry....If I feel that I might have some advice to give especially when someone is seeking an answer to a question I try and answer because a lot of these people are going through something that I my self have gone through...Sometimes someone will jump in and make a sarcastic remark to me just because I answered a post with concern and compassion. They were not really going to respond to the person's post but just had to attack and ridicule me for my post....Does it make someone feel more important if they attack and ridicule others?

I enjoy both funny and serious posts. I love the funny posts, because laughing can make me feel better no matter how I feel before. And I do like to let people know, if I can, that they made me smile or laugh. Just as I like to let people know that I enjoyed their serious posts, as well.
