Do you deeply feel that proselytizing others to convert them to atheism adequately makes up for the obviously wretched and empty life you live in the absence of any personal belief in the God myth? Just asking.

Well, Phil, I certainly think it does. It's just so miserable living a life devoid of any meaning or purpose that the only way I can feel even a sigh of joy is to smash others' religious faith and be as belittling and insulting to them as possible, as you know, "misery loves company." I mean, if you want to show someone how legitimate atheist beliefs are, you need to be as offensive and rude as possible. Arrogance is a plus, too. Those theists may be insulted today, but after my remarks make them question their dearly-held beliefs enough to the point of dropping them, they'll be bowing before me in gratitude.

I myself feel precisely the same way, Alyssa! Once I realized I was a non-theist, the only logical next step was to throw myself into a futile attempt to convert my cat to atheism. When that didn't work, I moped for days until it at last occured to me that the cat was an understandable learning mistake on my part and the folks I really wanted and desired to convert to atheism were humans --- and not just any humans, Alyssa, but the humans right here on RF who, deluded into thinking they are happy with their faiths, are in a position to be wrenchingly deprived of it in order for me to have more company in my misery.
