![]() Angel wings, demon wings, bat wings, I assume bird wings... You could literally be a turtle dove. ![]() The only thing that gives me pause about the thought of you on Second Life Feathers is is that, like most online interactive venues, there are some not so nice people on it. The other day some guy intentionally pushed me off a pier and into the ocean. It didn't hurt - I don't think you can get hurt? - but it wasn't very nice. It was rather stoopid, actually.

From how widely populated it seems to be, I would be very suprised if there wasn't an undercurrent of not-niceness. While I've experienced it on other games, I'm getting to the point in my old age where I probably wouldn't be in the game unless it was to be visiting with y'all.
Y'know the funny thing? A few months ago, I was trying to envision myself stylin' on a scooter/ moped. I don't think I'm tough enough to pull off the leather jacket with an eagle sewn on it, and was trying to think of what extremely appropriate animal would be better there. The first thing that seemed 'right' was the infamous Turtle Dove! ![]()

But I just wanted to say before I fall unconscious that I had the most wonderful time getting to better know Scarlett Wampus and UU_Sage! SW hung out with a small group of us UUs and they were very friendly and NICE and we blew bubbles. lol. I kept thinking of Terry and his bubbles in church thread. ![]()

that was really interesting. Got quite a buzz from chatting with you and UU_Sage in that place, meeting those other UU members, etc. Thanks so much for switching me on to it all.If others at RF here have a half decent video card and want to see what SL is like I think its definitely worth a look. I'm in a SL New Age something or other exchanging tarot readings right now. There goes any productivity for today. ![]()

Ok, made a marker.
Looks like there are several other decent places for tarot and whatnot too.I use just the standard Rider Waite pack for reading. I have several others but its been ages since I've used another pack for reading. I like the simple representation of the symbols in the Waite pack.

But I was asking which deck you were using in SL. I assumed that you guys could see the cards?

Fascinating. I just think I got a dose of the fantasy role-playing element of SL.
I was flying around when I noticed a Japanese style garden below me. I explored it a bit and found places to practice massage and a shrine to meditate next to. After sitting for a few minutes and wondering why anyone would want to emulate something like massage in SL the owner/creator of the place arrived, bowed and greeted me in Japanese. Luckily he spoke French and English too so we could chat. It turned out he was a Kyudo archery enthusiast and had built a virtual training hall for it in SL! He told me to follow him and he walked me to it. I waited outside until I'd taken my shoes off which pleased him then he proceeded to get his bow and fire arrows at the targets. A little while later he showed me pictures of his teachers that decorated the walls. We chatted about the benefits of martial discipline for a while and he gave me a marker for a place to practice virtual Tai Chi! His neighbour started calling him so he had to leave after that. That such things happen on RL is all so odd and kind of wonderful too. I've think I've got mild cyber-culture shock. ![]()

The Thoth deck is gorgeous. The pack I used to use before Waite was the Thoth deck. Because I was a Thelemite at that time it suited me perfectly. After I became disillusioned with Thelema I simply couldn't use it anymore though since the symbolism made me uncomfortable. Think I might check out the Haindl and Blake packs. I've never seen them. *googles*
