Who Wants To Help Design A Tattoo? (myth)

For all you creative folk out there.

I'm not creative at all, in this sense anyway.

I'm looking to finally get around to doing my left side. From armpit to hipbone, and I've got no ideas.

I'm looking for something kinda girly-ish, sexy, of course, lots of bright colors.

Any of you artists wanna help me design something, or at least give me some ideas to get my tattoo artist to design something wicked?

I should probably know this, but what's your favorite animal? What's your favorite myth? Do you have a favorite body part of a critter, like a wing, or a claw? Are you looking for something with deep personal meaning or something that looks pretty but also happens to have personal meaning?

Favorite animal would be a Siberian Tiger or a Jaguar. Hmm.. Favorite myth.. that's hard, I'd have to think about it, but some sort of mythological creature might be cool. Wow, I never really thought about favorite body parts of animals.. probably their jaws.. I like big teeth

Meaning isn't really an issue with me, I'm kind of more into tattoos that I think will just look badass.

I was thinking of whatever I end up doing, maybe some how incorporating some gorgeous, colorful, but deadly, poisonous flower in it. Flowers always look cool, but everyone I know has roses or lotuses, so I'd want something different, and definitely something deadly, hehehe.

Water and/or fire are also wicked things to incorporate in tattoos. They always look awesome.

How about foxglove, hehee! Maybe Bella donna? I like the water and fire ideas... I suppose I associate tiger with water and jaguar with fire... maybe even a combination of both?

Do you have a favorite style or would you rather have it 'realistic-looking'? (For example, Japanese in design or First Nations sort of thing?) You could even do one that might tell a story!

Me and my tattoo artist talked it over last night and came up with a few ideas. Since I've already got flames on the right side of my chest, he thought we should keep it symmetrical and make the left side water.

He suggested maybe a mermaid sitting on a rock under a waterfall, surrounded by water lillies and cherry blossoms, with koi fish swimming around the rocks, for the left side.

And add onto the flames on the right side with a phoenix rising from the flames... and that's all we have so far for the right side, haha.

How does that sound though. I'm really into the mermaid idea, I think. I think it could potentially make for a gorgeous tattoo.

Hehee, I was going to ask what was on your other side- keeping it in harmony is good!

You could always save the pheonix for the front (if you decide not to go with the Y-incision idea), and have it kind of connecting the two elements on either side!
