The run over hare........... (priest, Earth, miracle, anglican)

Since James put up a joke about dogs, I suddenly remembered this one:-

A guy was driving down the road, in the evening; he felt a bump as he ran over something in the road. Concerned, he stopped his car by the side, got out, and went to have a look.............

Unfortunately, he had run into a hare.........that had presumably been hypnotized by the headlights...the animal wasn't moving. The guy was quite upset; he loved animals.

Just then, he heard the "squeak" "squeak" "squeak" of an old bicycle coming round the corner, and he noticed that the man riding it was an Anglican Priest.

He saw this chap, crouched near the dead animal, stopped and went over to him:-

"What's wrong he asked ? Is it dead?"

The driver nodded........

"I might just have something to fix him" Said the priest...... The motorist looked at him with a strange look; well, the animal was dead...

He watched the priest go over to his bike, get something out of his saddlebag, pour some fluid into one had, went over to the animal, rubbing in the contents.

To the driver's great surprise, the hare suddenly got up, waved at the both, and ran down the road, still waving...........

The motorist was amazed... "Father, how on earth did you manage to do that ? was it a miracle ?" He asked...........

The priest showed him the bottle "No," he said, "I just remembered I had a bottle of hair restorer with a permanent wave on me".......
