The first bit of this tablet begins "Lo, the nightingale..." Therefore, the nightingale's name is obviously "Lo." ![]() |

The only problem is that if Lo was the nightingal's name, the Tablet needs another comma after 'Paradise': Lo, the Nightingal of Paradise, singeth... luna

The Bab (pronouced "Bob") was born in Shiraz, Iran, as Siyyid Ali Muhammad. "Siyyid" is a Muslim title used in Iran, btw. The title "Bab" means "the Gate" or "the Door." While considered a Prophet in His own right, He's usually refered to as the "Prophet-Herald," just because Baha'u'llah came so soon afterwards. Usually you get centuries between Prophets. The Bab was a descendent of Muhammad (pbuh). This was commonly shown at the time as descendents wore green turbans. Baha'u'llah was born also in Iran, as Mirza Husayn Ali. "Mirza" is also a title used by Muslims in Iran. His title means "Glory of God" or "Glory of the Lord." (Baha=glory, u=of, 'llah=Allah=God or Lord. You get used to parsing this stuff after a while. ) Baha'u'llah is often refered to as the Prophet-Founder of the Baha'i Faith. When it was just the Bab, they were called Babis. He was a descendent of Abraham through his 3rd wife, Keturah, a descendent of King David, and also a descendent of Iranian kings. As you might guess, in that part of the world ancestry is a big deal, and it still is.Sometimes we refer to the "Twin Manifestations." It's not exactly normal to have 2 Prophets essentially founding a religion. A friend of mine used to joke it's just that this revelation happens to be so big it really needed more than just one Person to start it off. That's an amusing way of putting it, but essentially correct. Well, I could go on for a while, but I don't want to disrupt the thread by putting too much of this out here anyway. So...who has another question from their religion? |

Did anyone answer the last question?
If not here's one of my own. What saint's day is on October 4th?

well since no one answered my question, ill give ya the answer, life to us is a time spent letting our souls gather energy and strength, if we die before we have enough, we are reincarnated, if we have enough, we will live in the afterlife (this is all just a basic assumption i got from looking at various necromantic texts, most of which had the same conclusion)
