I came across a funny wedding video from a Bosnian couple in Germany. It begins with a slideshow of the couple (and some weird alien intro?), and then goes to video footage of belly dancers (complete with old, Muslim hausfraus gossiping about them) and so much other fun, Bosnian stuff.
LOL Oh my...![]() Bosnische Hochzeit

Oh God, turbo folk dancing.
And some old guy tries to get the belly dancer to sit in his lap, and she blows him off - LOL No tip for her.

I like the music. Was the belly dancer really singing? Was the elder gentelman who wanted a lap dance the father? I am not sure if my head is flat enough to hold a glass.

She was really singing, yes - I heard one small clip. But the authors of this video imposed the MP3 version of the song, by the original artists, over the video.
Hahaha - it's funny you mention flat heads. It's one of the things Hitler used to explain how we're subhuman. LOL

Hehehe, NetDoc. You can dive, yes, but most of the best centers for doing this sort of thing are in Croatia.
One more wedding video, these folks are Sandzaklije. Sandzaklije are Bosniaks who are from an area called the Sandzak. It used to be part of Serbia, then it became part of Bosnia for centuries, and then near the end of the Ottoman Empire the Sultan awarded six districts of the Sandzak to Serbia. (This is why Bosnia rose up against the Ottoman Empire in the 1800s, unsuccessfully). Now it is split between Serbia and Montenegro, which are independent, but it still populated mainly by Bosniaks. Their culture is really quite different compared to Bosniaks in Bosnia, and it always was. When the Sandzak was part of Bosnia, Novi Pazar (it's capital) was Bosnia's second-largest city and Evlija Celebi, a travel writer, wrote in the 1600s that of all the vast Empire and its different peoples and places, nothing changed quite so much as did the journey from Novi Pazar to Sarajevo. He said Novi Pazar was wild, Sarajevo was calm. Anyhow, here's a wedding from those wild Sandzaklije. ![]() Aldin & Amela - Ćifteli, Šota
