Yeah, Booko, you can. I've had about 4 accounts iced (annoying too, because one of them I had for 3 years and over a million neopoints as well as a paintbrush collection) for dicussing religion on the boards.

Actually it's quite the opposite. They don't ban so harshly and quickly when one is discussing Christianity. The Wiccan threads are caught usually within 5 posts or so and all involved are iced immediately. Discussing Wicca and Paganism was what got me iced each time.

I love neopets! I'm on there all the time (and gaiaonline). I'm currently working on collecting as many message board avatars as I can. As long as it keeps me amused I'm happy.

Seriously, what is the point of this "game"?

I mean, yes, I acknowledge that there is no point to any game other than to have fun, but what is the goal? One can't even really interact with the pets except by buying stuff for it. I am alarmed at the popularity of this game, and that parents think this is harmless fun for their kids. As far as I can see it is one big excuse for product advertising to children, and it teaches kids that when their pet is unhappy the solution is to buy more things for them. Buy more stuff. It's all the same stuff packaged differently, but you need to buy one of each anyway. Is this really the message that we want to be reinforcing?

Scary.
