Default Crazy Maths Puzzle (maths, not math)
My dad received this puzzle in an email at work. Me and him both solved it... my mum couldn't though, and she's the clever one . Here it is:

A mother is 21 years older than the child. In 6 years from now the mother will be 5 times as old as the child.

Question: Where is the father?

I'll post the answer after a while......

The answer, for whoever wants it: (highlight it)

Child's age = x years
Mother's age = x + 21 years

In 6 years:

5 (x + 6) = x + 21 + 6

4x = -3
x = -3/4 years = - 9 months

Therefore the father is, we can only assume, rather close to the mother...
