It's a little on edge but funny:
An elderly man shuffles into a newspaper office to place an obituary and is told it'll cost $1 per word. The old man agrees and writes "Doris is dead" on a piece of paper. "is that all you want to put?" the girl behind the desk asks. "I have only $3," he says, and slowy begins to walk out the door. The girl, feeling sorry for the old man, says she'll cut him a deal and give him three extra words for free. Smiling gratefully, the old man thinks for a moment and scrawls, "Doris is dead. House for sale."
