On ordinary, non-cable, non-satellite TV, I get an hour of BBC news twice a day, but no real-time feeds. What we do get are syndicated British mystery series, sitcoms, &c. We also get serious documentaries and science programmes, so I expect it's only a matter of time till Walking with Monsters appears as local fare.

Sometimes my local PBS station will show some BBC stuff. But I don't actually "get" BBC. Then again, I also don't have cable or anything . . .

I get BBCA, and it does show alot of English shows, but the only thing I occasionally watch on it is Battle Bots, or whatever the English version is called.

I read someware that the BBC is going to stream some of its programmes on the web for free.
If I find out more I shall post it. They said something about a trial in the new year. Terry____________________-- Amen! Truly I say to you: Gather in my name. I am with you. |

I'm almost certain that you'll get Walking with Monsters in the States (though perhaps with a different narrator) as it was made in conjunction with the Discovery Channel and a slew of European channels. There was something similar not so long back looking at possible future evolution with an English narrator (can't remember who) on the BBC and an American one on Discovery (I get both). Judging from last night's programme, it's going to be an interesting series.

According to Wikipedia, it's possible to use a dish of a diametre of 1 to 2 metres to get some BBC in Sweden from some satellite. Personally, I don't even own a TV set.
