about a contest he was asked to judge.
The purpose of the contest was to find the most caring child.

The winner was a four year old child whose next door neighbor was an
elderly gentleman who had recently lost his wife.
Upon seeing the man cry, the little boy went into the old gentleman's
yard, climbed onto his lap, and just sat there.
When his Mother asked what he had said to the neighbor, the little boy
said, "Nothing, I just helped him cry"

This is something I heard a a long time ago, I don't know how true it is but I've reason to believe it is. I'm typing this from memory so bear with me.

A little girl found out she had a very serious medical condition that would involve a blood transfusion to help her survive. (I can't remember the actuall condition or if it was a blood transufsion or organ donation) Her younger brother was discovered to be the best match to do the transfusion so they sat him down to talk to him. They explained to him what the process would involve and that it might hurt. They then asked him if wouldn't mind going through with it to help save his sister. He thought about it for a second and with tears in his eyes he agreed. The doctor said it was going to be alright and asked him why he was crying. The little boy looked at the doctor and told him that after he died to tell his sister he loved her.

The little boy thought the operation would mean giving up his life to save his sister, and he agreed almost instantly. Love from a child is in my opinion the strongest love there is.
