I've seen the word thrown around a bit when discussing the show. My question is "what exactly" makes Glee gay? It only has one gay couple and one lesbian couple. How does that make the whole show gay?

2 words: "musical theater"
Or, if you prefer, "show tunes". Great show, btw!

Never seen it. I heard it was good but it doesn't have lasers, aliens, zombies or half naked women with guns so I gave it a pass. As for whether or not it's gay, it could be. I find gay folks to be more intelligent, better dressed and capable of stimulating conversations. If the show the show fits with that description then why fight it.

I was unaware that a television show could have a sexual orientation. They don't even have genitals.

Indeed. So why do some say that Glee is gay?

I love glee. It is indeed more "sexually liberated" in the sense that there is more sexual diversity than other series. You have bisexuals (britney) lesbians (uhm... forgot the name of the "latin" one (pff sucks with pronunciation of spanish...) ) has coach Beast that seems very masculine for a woman even though she is straigth.
And obviously it has Kurt (gay full stereotype type) and Blaine (also homosexual), plus Karovsky that was the bully of Kurt who turned out to also be gay and a gay guy that I dont remember the name was trying to flirt with Blaine (waait.. the name was blaine or Blake? , too long not seeing ) . Also the one with which Kurt had an emotional semi affair.

That was Sebastian. The one who tried to break up Kurt and Blaine

I love Kurt By the Way. He could easily be my favorite character.
I think what I love about him is that even though I am straigth I feel I conect a lot with what heīs been through. Like the fact that he is completely inadecuate to be who he is (in the sense it gives him problems in social scenarios), but at the same time, he is so proud of himself. He canīt hide it nor wishes to, but if he tried, he REALLY cant hide it . Proud and all you want he is very cool to his friends. He eventually made it into a relationship where he felt complete He likes romance.Idk. I just feel a lot of me reflected in him. Itīs hard to explain.

And of course with her girlfriend Santana. Glee is awesome. But yeah, I think when certain people say things like that it is because they automatically connect musical theatre with "gay". Doesn't make any sense. If Glee's gay...being gay is damn freakin' cool. ![]()

I gotta say about Chris Colfer the guy who plays Kurt that I think he does the gay community proud. He helps so many people connect with their gay identity and be who they are.
