You arrive at the "Lazy 8" hotel without a reservation and the clerk tells you that all the rooms are occupied but that he can get you a room. How can he do this?
Just as the clerk is about to complete the registration and give you the key, an infinite number of conventioneers arrive without reservations and the clerk tells all of them (some kind of mass comunication) that all the rooms are occupied but he can still provide a room for everyone. How does the clerk accomplish this? and what room number becomes your lodging for the night Editted to add that the Lazy 8 hotel has an infinite number of rooms Last edited by Bright-ness' Shadow; 03-31-2005 at 02:27 AM. |

There is only one room, and it is infinitely large. Your room number is 1.
Is that right?

Ow! I think I sprained my brain trying to fathom this one!
Is it because the rooms are occupied, but are occupied by the people arriving?
