There were Muslims on RF before Cordoba, Peace, and The Truth showed up, but most didn't hang around long. Back when the Forum first started it was almost entirely Christian or Non-theist. Then, at about the same time, Cordoba, Peace, and The Truth arrived; and unlike the Muslims who came before them, they hung around to make RF a better place.
Cordoba set to work filling the Islam forum with posts and threads on nearly every subject in Islam. At one time, perhaps half or more of the posts and threads in that forum were his. This expanded the material available to people and made the forum more attractive to Muslims. Peace also did her part in the Islam forum by posting beautiful poems and psalms, and wise sayings from her religion. She was also among the first Muslims to reach out to Non-Muslims as friends. Consequently, I think we owe Cordoba and Peace a lot for paving the way for other Muslims to come onboard and find this an interesting, lively place to be. The Truth took a somewhat different approach to the Forum. Instead of focusing almost exclusively on the Islam forum, he ventured into the debate sections and engaged the Non-Muslims he found there in lively, free wheeling debates. He was, to my recollection, the first Muslim on the Forum to represent a Muslim point of view on many of the topics that are typical to the debates sections. In effect, he was the first to bring Islam to the attention of the Non-Muslims on the Forum. Together, The Truth, Peace and Cordoba created a friendly, welcoming environment in which other Muslims could feel at home. We owe them gratitude both for laying the foundation for a larger and growing Muslim prescence on the Forum, and for helping to create a community of diverse people who all, for the most part, get along with and respect each other in a spirit of friendship.

EDIT: What makes this oversight really dumb on my part is that when I was planning this out a couple days back, I meant to include Peace. But with all that's been going on today, I completely spaced out and forgot about her when I wrote the OP.

Congratulations to you all !
It's good to have you around at this time, especially with a lot of the anti-muslim bashing we see.

The first Muslim I remember was somebody who used a very strange and Internet-unkown version of the Qur'an to prove their point. We went on for several pages on some question, but my adversary didn't accept the interpretations normally accepted by consensus.
The second Muslim that made a lasting impact on me, but in a very different way was Rearing Arabian. She is quite young, at least compared to me, but mature way beyond her age. And the things she has had to suffer, having lived in Beirut! I hope she'll be fine in Canada. No disrespect to you-all others; I sure read your posts. But other duties unfortunately limit my ability to engage in discussing aspects of Islam (or, for that matter, other threads). As an uninteresting aside, I'll just mention that one of my best friends in a Christian high school club just retired from his position as Sweden's first professor of Islamology.

It's great to see that differing ways led to similar results - increasing the understanding of a faith system that many may have had incorrect perceptions of.

A warm round of applause for the Muslim RF "Trinity". Although I have not mixed it up with Peace and Cordoba much, The Truth is quite a remarkable fellow. I know I still count him as a friend even if we do get a bit shrill on occaison. We have exchanged several PM's that were quite charming. I AM glad they are all here and believe it or not, they have somewhat softened my stance on Islam... a tiny bit.
