Something just occured to me: Everything that is available for me to drink has some sort of toxin in it. Just off the top of my head...
Water - fluoride or plastic, depending on whether you get tap or bottled Diet Soda - Aspartame and probably a bunch of other crap I don't recognize Non-diet Soda - High fructose corn syrup, possibly other artificial sugar replacements, and probably a bunch of other crap I don't recognize Milk - bovine growth hormone (I don't digest large quantities of dairy well anyways) I think juice MIGHT be safe... but that's probably just because I haven't checked the nutrition facts on juices yet (I don't drink juice much). There was also a great brand of non-toxic soda I found in a downtown organic-food store on a trip to another state once, but I don't know of anywhere nearby that has them .So any of you got any ideas or suggestions on things to drink that won't signifigantly reduce my life expectancy? I wish I lived somewhere where natural food and drink was even an option .

.In any case, everything can be bad for you. Even pure water can be bad for your system. Oh, and to my understanding, you can fix the "Plastic in the water" problem by keeping it cold at all times. But fluorine is in bottled water too, because a majority of bottled water is tap water. Idunno if filters get fluorine out, but if you could remove the fluorine from your water, you could just get a metal water bottle. Metal ones are re-usable and don't perform osmosis on you when they get too warm (You'll still get some metal in there, you can't store liquid in something and realistically expect to not have some of your container in the liquid).

Hmm, here's that non-toxic soda I was talking about:
Blue Sky Beverage Company / Products / Natural Sodas And here's Mug Root Beer: Mug Root Beer, Pepsi Cola Mug Root Beer nutrition information facts (How many calories in ?) I notice that there's a signifigantly lower amount of sodium in Blue Sky (and their serving size is slightly higher =D). I also like how Mug Root Beer doesn't give you their ingredients list . Here, I have a can of Mugs with me, lemme look at it:Quote:
I am worried about the "high fructose corn sweetener" on Blue Sky though. Is high fructose corn sweetener anything like high fructose corn syrup?

Even natural cane sugar can toxicate. Blue Sky beverages are not immune.

And I think the difference between High Fructose Corn Sweetener and High Fructose Corn Syrup is that the latter is a syrup, while the former does not have to be in syrup form (It can be a powder, like cocaine). High Fructose Coca Stimulant? That'd be cool.

Toxic? Fluorine?
Iron, salt, vitamin A and D, water and oxygen are all highly toxic as well. The amount of fluoride necessary to cause harm to an average male is 5 to 10 grams, which is more than 20,000 times as much fluride that is consumed in an 8 oz glass. The point is that many things are toxic in excess quantities. |

Even pure, uncontaminated water can kill you if you drink too much of it. Everything can be harmfull to you if it is abused or used too much.
The only thing that is really "toxic" is poor moderation. |

I've read that fluoride is more acutely toxic than lead. If this is true, how can someone justify putting it in drinking water? Here's a link.
Fluoride - More Acutely Toxic Than Lead
