Any Scotch drinkers? (Christ, christmas)

Any other Scotch drinkers here?

I'm pretty well a newbie when it comes to actually enjoying whiskey... I used to think that Scotch was just okay but not all that great, but recently I've made a change: I've stopped having my Scotch on the rocks. Instead, lately, I've been having it neat... and what a difference!

My wife got me a bottle of Johnny Walker Black for Christmas, and I recently picked up a bottle of the 10-year-old Talisker. I like both, but they're rather different in character. The Johnny Walker is fairly mild and a bit peppery, and the Talisker is wonderfully roasty and smoky.

So... anyone else here enjoy Scotch? Any favourites?

I prefer Irish - Jamesons in particular.

I prefer Scotch neat, too. I haven't tried Irish. Rye is a Canadian staple, and my favourite.

I like both Glenlivet and Glenfiddich. In general, I like single malts better than blends.

Glenlivet's probably the nicest scotch I've had. I usually drink Johnnie Walker, and I've got a bottle of Jameson but I haven't opened it yet.

The scotch here isn't worth drinking you have to buy imports but I'm cheap, I'll only spend money on good gin, wine or beer .

I've had a bottle of Glenmorangie for several years that I received as a gift. I don't drink much liquor, and I particularly don't drink much hard liquor. Though if I were going to drink something straight it would be single-malt Scotch.

Not much of a drinker, but I've had Scotch once and like it. Don't remember what brand tough but it was imported.

Once upon a time, yes, I drank scotch.

Can't stomach the stuff now - gives me the worst feeling the next morning, no matter how much I drink of it.
