I am absolutely appalled that RF doesn't have it's own thread devoted solely to the lager, the ale, pale and dark beers, the stout, the guiness, cold temperature or warm temperature, and on and on and on.
The foods that go the best with beer (I say pizza by far); and using beer in recipes (I'm baking beer-batter bread right now for a late night snack ).I have to give credit to Luke's thread in this same forum discussing Mixed Drinks. It gave me this idea. ![]() Having a beer always makes me think of "Cheers", too. LOL Wouldn't you like to get away? Sometimes you want to go where everybody knows your name..... Beer is sacred stuff.

Do you have any favorites?
I always seem to ask for a pitcher of Killian's Red when I'm out. Obviously, the entire pitcher is the round of drinks for the table of friends, and not just for me. LOL *smells Beer Bread* ![]() Almost done! Peace, Mystic |

I prefer microbrews when I can get them. Sam Adams brews are tasty too.

Pizza is good with beer; also anything deep fried and shrimp any way you prepare it -- so fried shrimp is extra good.
You can use beer in any recipe you might use wine in, and in lots of recipes where wine wouldn't really work. I like almost any microbrew better than almost any mass-produced beer. It's like the difference between home cooking and McDonald's. But I like Yuengling just fine -- although I don't touch even Yuengling with the word "Light" on the label, I don't really drink Porter, and I don't think a Black & Tan ought to come bottled that way. In other words, I like Yuengling, but make it a Lager, an Ale, or a Premium. But I'm not a beer snob; I'll drink Bud, as long as it's Bud and not Bud Light. Don't never drink no light beer no time, no way, no how. I fantasize about brewing my own Irish Red Ale.

If you must drink a Coors product, that's the one to drink. But be aware that it's not really an Irish Red Ale. It's a lager. Try a real red ale if you can find one, and see if you don't like it better.

Never tried Sam Adams, but I've heard good things.
