I have. Yum.

I just tried Oak Farms's soy milk . . . eck. It tastes like the saturated protien drinks I (painfully) took during my football season.

Eighth Continent chocolate soy milk actually tastes better than Silk, but alas, they would have to use corn to sweeten the stuff, so I'm off of that.

I'm may be off commercial soy milks altogether soon enough, because they insist on jamming the stuff full of unneeded vitamins -- nearly all corn-derivatives, of course.

But last night I saw several brands of doohickeys to make your own soy and nut milk, so there's hope for me yet. yay!

If you think chocolate cow's milk and/or soy milk is good, you MUST try this:

Chocolate Almond Breeze

It is simply the best chocolate *anything* I've ever had!

(If you're allergic to soy, it does have soy lecithin...then try Pacific brand, but it's "grainy.")

I am amazed that all of you have had soy milk. I had no idea people actually drank it. I have never had soy milk and until reading this thread, I didn't know anyone who had. Why do you drink soy? Is it because you do not like cow milk, you are allergic to cow milk, soy milk is healthier, religious reasons?

I'm ethnically Chinese. I grew up with the stuff.

I like cows milk just fine. Soy milk is different. I like both. As I said in another post, it's just in the West where the marketers have made them functionally equivalent. The Chinese don't think of soy milk as milk.

Most of my protein comes from either dairy or soy. I like both.

Personally, I drink it because it tastes good.

I'm allergic to dairy and egg, but even if I weren't, I'd probably drink the soy milk anyway for ethical reasons, and because it tastes better to me.

8th Continent is way better...its like a milkshake!! (you don't want to drink it if you watch your carbs though, it has more sugar added than other brands)

I love soy milk, and I got my daughter hooked on it, plus we make 'milkshakes' with chocolate flavored soy protien powder. My ex keeps telling her she's crazy for drinking this stuff, but I tell her he's just jealous that he can't find it in him to make healthy choices.

(edited to add: We both still love to drink cow's milk too, I just like the benefits of soy)
