Well I tried the Hoegaarden last night. Not a fan.
*edit* After doing some reading ,I think I poured it wrong or something, cause it had very little head on it, and what was there disappeared very quickly. At the risk of sounding crass, I a like good head. It seems this particular beer should have had one. ![]() And, as a bit of useless trivia, check this out: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Beer_co...ion_by_country *edit#2* Ok, apparently this beer was supposed to be a pale gold colour when poured, and it was not - it was quite a bit darker than that. Perhaps I got a dud? Hmm...maybe I'll give it a second try one day to find out. In the meantime, I have 5 more newbies to try out. ![]()

Ok, so last night I had the Grolsch and then the Kronenbourg 1664. The Grolsch was quite tasty, nice head, much more like how I'm used to beer tasting (being a lager). It had an odd taste to it, but I'm not enough of a beer connoisseur to be able to pinpoint what it was.
Then I had the Kronenbourg, which honestly had very little taste - which made it very, very easy to drink. But really, I might as well have been drinking flavoured water. I think it'd be categorised as p*ss beer. Entirely drinkable, but I don't consider it worth the effort.

I have posted much around here for a long time, but beer is always worth posting about. ![]() My favorite is Sierra Nevada Pale Ale. In general I like the bitter ales. In my opinion, the best beer recipes in the world originated in Great Britian. |
