I've just recently tried Red Stripe for the first time (thanks in part to their wonderful commericals, "Hooray beer!"), I really liked it. Good stuff.

I'd never heard of Yuengling before I moved to Virginia last year and being a mass produced American beer I wasn't eager to try it. But I've come to like the Yuengling Black and Tan when I want to buy an inexpensive beer.

I've never been terribly experimental with beer.
I'll find something I like and drink it for years, then one day someone will pass a bottle to me and say "Here, try this". I'll either not like it as much as my current beer of choice and never drink it again, or it will become my new beer of choice, and I'll never drink my old beer again. As such, there have only ever been 3 brands that I drank with any regularity - Melbourne Bitter (which I now can't stand); Corona Extra (which I haven't had since I stopped clubbing in my mid 20's); and my current beer of choice, Cascade Premium Lager (which I have been drinking for several years now). After reading this thread, I decided to branch out and try something new. With that thought in mind today, I went and bought 6 different stubbies of imported beer. They are: Asahi Super Dry Hoegaarden Guinness Draught Kronenbourg 1664 Grolsch Premium Lager (which has a very funky swingtop bottle )Kokanee Glacier ![]() I'll let you know what I think when I'm done. At the rate I drink alcohol though, it might be a while...
