I crave my mother's lentils, barley & rice soup! My husband thinks it's wretched because it's this awful grey-brown color and the carrots are not nearly sufficient to perk it up, but I love it! However, the recipie is infamous because it is impossible to make a small batch of it, no matter how hard you try; so it ends up being around for a week.
