There was the Guggenheim and the Walt Disney Concert Hall...now, there will be a hotel in Utah...LEHI, Utah to be exact. The real story - this hotel will be the largest building in Utah.
Anyone who knows the area where this is going in has got to be scratching their head. It isn't exactly the spot you'd put the tallest building in the state...much less a development by a famous architect. But, it's going forward and I'm excited. Finally, Utah County will have something to attract more people...we've already got the #1 Tourist Destination in the state (it isn't the Provo Temple). Here's some pictures of the new development: ![]() ![]() ![]() I think it looks like it will be pretty cool. Here's a satalite image of where this is going in...there really isn't much around it at all, but it will probably end up connecting Salt Lake County with Utah County. http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&hl=e...43001&t=k&om=1

It's supposed to represent the slot canyons in the state with the river running through them.

Here are some more pictures:
http://deseretnews.com/dn/view/0,1249,660191622,00.html Don't you think that Gehry should design a temple for the area while he's at it? I wonder what that would look like.

That's really a neat idea. I hope it starts connecting the two- like you mentioned.
