I'm surprised we have not had any LDS comment on this thread. I believe they are a group that is ultimately prepared. Am I right about this?

I'll just go home to my parents farm. We got plenty milk to feed a small town, along with our garden and... the spare cows are our steaks!

Why would the faithful worry? I mean God will provide, right? Isn't that how the old saying goes?

Now most of us believe the government would step in, but if no one made any money, no taxes would be paid. How long would police and fire men work without a check?

If China did not buy our bonds and no taxes where collected, where would the government get the means to help us? Would we all be like Hurricane Katrina victims waiting on a government that never arrived?

From what I understand it takes a great offense to be fired from the Thruway Authority and by the time that the EZ-Pass system is perfected and universally accepted (or mandatory) I should be retired. The state needs the revenue from toll roads, it is the only money they can really count on and the Thruway needs a certain amount of personel (though this number is dwindling by the day). If one was hired under the wire, and one is doing what they are supposed to be doing and if one is honest, one's job is secured.

I honestly do not know what would happen to my family, friends, and loved ones.

Hopefully, we won't have to worry about it. Then again, not to think about something just because it is unpleasant won't prepare us if it does happen.

This is kinda funny, cause I was just about to start a similar thread when I saw this one.

I am really stressed out and worried. My primary job is sales. The company I work for is a very good company, but they keep raising our sales quotas. No one in my location hit quota this last month, and everyone got a write-up including our managers. We have a union, but I believe they can still fire us for not meeting quota. I really don't know what to do. I have already started looking for another job but I just can't find anything...
