Codebar -
You are entitled to your opinion (as we all are), but to openly attack a member like this is uncalled for, and indefensible. Your intolerance does not entitle you to committ such attacks, even if you believe that your intolerance makes you appear to be smarter than you are. "Figment of your imagination", indeed. I'd say that "it's been nice knowing you", but that would be insincere on my part.

You attack a fellow brother in faith because he doesn't wallow in the same blind, frothing hatred and because he doesn't share in your petty desire to meddle in other people's business and to trample their rights. Yours is not a very Christian attitude. Last edited by Wandered Off; 10-01-2008 at 08:46 AM. Reason: Rule 1 |

This is not my bible. I adhere to a higher standard. Your christ is not my Christ. Your God is not my God. Your way is not my way.

Who gives a damn about your way, especially when it's used as a pathetic excuse to attack others and as pathetic justification for petty, infantile hatred? Why should anyone hold your views as being even remotely relevant? You've offered nothing of any depth or substance, only emotional theatrics that betray your mental shortcomings. I'm sure your own personal little bible, standards, christ and way are all things you make up as you go along based on your reactionary whims. It's a shame people like you even have children and then poison their minds.

![]() And voice of Treason/Reason here has insulted me and my religion numerous times...i should have pushed the red button myself, but then...im not a third-grader. If codebar is banned...then where does that leave VOR and the rest of the monkeys? I just think that when kids dont get their way...they like to call daddy. As far as codebar goes...i think what you are doing is telling Disney man here how he should think. Ist that what the teachers problem was with the third-graders? But disney man is not a third-grader is he? Perhaps if we remember that we are not thirdgraders ourselves, all we really have to do...is skip the post ...and read the next one. Like most kids will do with this one.....LOL!!! ![]() Whhhooo weee...it getting hot in here....so take of all your posts.... |

But I'm not the one professing to be a Christian, now am I? I would however expect people to actually abide by the teachings of the religions they claim to follow, especially if they're belching and bellowing threats, insults and accusations at others for being "unrighteous".

Not that I expect you to care, but just for the record, it would be VERY rare for me to report a post that makes a personal attack on me (as you have done above). I do, however, take great umbrage at a personal attack such as calling someone a coward, simply because they do not agree with your position. If a person argues from a position of ignorance, I have no problem with someone pointing that out. In this instance, codebar is accusing Disney of being an "ignorant coward", when Disney has clearly demonstrated his understanding of the situation and the basis for his argument. Therefore, he is (clearly) not ignorant of the salient points of the issue, and he is obviously not a coward simply because he does not agree with codebar. Therefore, codebar is not addressing a shortcoming in Disney's position based on his knowledge - he is simply making a straightforward, unwarranted ad hominem attack on Disney. Quote:
I probably brush up against the limit as much as anyone - and I get called on it by the moderators as they see fit. I have no problem with that, because the reprimand is usually earned on my part. Then again, when I'm engaged in a debate with someone that bases their position on ignorance, I don't mind pointing that out. When that happens, I don't think I've ever been reprimanded by the mods.

But when you and codebar extended this (which isnt really a debate forum is it)...to the parenting abilities of either disney man or codebar, i think both of you stepped over the line. That has nothing to do with the code of honor in the bible...that has to do with basic human rights...to be treated with dignity. We all here...flex our spiritual muscles our mental muscles and our social muscles...and we take a bit of flack here and there, but we keep it reasonably friendly. I dont think there is anything remotely friendly about what you said: It's a shame people like you even have children and then poison their minds. Its not about spiritualism, its not about comparing mental proficiency..its not about philosphy...its not about science....it about hate. That which you seem to think all religious people are right. Im not participating in this thread any longer. Its has become troubled water. ![]() |
