As far as codebar goes...i think what you are doing is telling Disney man here how he should think. Ist that what the teachers problem was with the third-graders? But disney man is not a third-grader is he?

Perhaps if we remember that we are not thirdgraders ourselves, all we really have to do...is skip the post ...and read the next one. Like most kids will do with this one.....LOL!!!

Not that I expect you to care, but just for the record, it would be VERY rare for me to report a post that makes a personal attack on me (as you have done above). I do, however, take great umbrage at a personal attack such as calling someone a coward, simply because they do not agree with your position. If a person argues from a position of ignorance, I have no problem with someone pointing that out. In this instance, codebar is accusing Disney of being an "ignorant coward", when Disney has clearly demonstrated his understanding of the situation and the basis for his argument. Therefore, he is (clearly) not ignorant of the salient points of the issue, and he is obviously not a coward simply because he does not agree with codebar. Therefore, codebar is not addressing a shortcoming in Disney's position based on his knowledge - he is simply making a straightforward, unwarranted ad hominem attack on Disney.

Disney did not report the post - I did. The "Report Post" button is there for a reason. It is to alert the moderators to an abuse, and it allows them to keep the discourse on a civil level (to the degree that that is possible).

I probably brush up against the limit as much as anyone - and I get called on it by the moderators as they see fit. I have no problem with that, because the reprimand is usually earned on my part.

Then again, when I'm engaged in a debate with someone that bases their position on ignorance, I don't mind pointing that out. When that happens, I don't think I've ever been reprimanded by the mods.

You see father heathen....it isnt really ok with me to call my god the imaginary fairy god mother, nor is it ok to call me the pink unicorn dressed in a batman suit freak just because i believe in him. I understand that people have a hard time with the concept of god and with me.

But when you and codebar extended this (which isnt really a debate forum is it)...to the parenting abilities of either disney man or codebar, i think both of you stepped over the line.

That has nothing to do with the code of honor in the bible...that has to do with basic human rights...to be treated with dignity.

We all here...flex our spiritual muscles our mental muscles and our social muscles...and we take a bit of flack here and there, but we keep it reasonably friendly. I dont think there is anything remotely friendly about what you said:
