I think a lot of people get married just because they feel they should. Instead of trying to find someone they really really love, they just end up settling for "close enough," because they feel that they need to find someone, and feel like this guy, though I don't love him that much, is better than nothing. For example, my sister loves her boyfriend so much, and they've got pictures of each other sleeping and stuff. In my english class, my professor asked if boys here think that their girlfriends are the prettiest when they first wake up, and one girl said, "No! I would never let my boyfriend see me without makeup!" I just figured, if you really loved someone, you'd let them see your real face before you fake it up with make up... X_X

So I think people should not get married unless they really truthfully do love each other, even though I don't really know if love exists... other people claim it does. Anyway though, I think if you really do like each other, no matter what kind of marriage, you should go for it. Polygamy, gay marriages, man-woman marriages... whatever. Just don't do it just because you want to be normal and be married just like your parents, and your friends. Don't get married unless you really really like the other person.
