Can I ask a similar question? I've been told by several guys that every time they look at a woman, no matter what she looks like, they take a second to imagine what she'd be like in bed. Is this true, or do I just hang around with hoplessly perverted guys?

If she gives me one of the obvious "come-on" signs though, like giving me the correct change in a shop or saying 'thank you' if I hold a door open for her, then she'll soon find herself luxuriating in the depths of Lawtonian affection...or bound, gagged and hooded in my cellar, as the rest of the world might loosely and misinformedly describe it. |

I would probably say this is true for many men especially when the smile is just when you have looked at each other without even speaking.

Depends on something else: HOW she likes him. Even a stranger can like me, if I say something funyn and she smiles, then that means she likes it. Doesn't have to mean she wants to go to bed with me or even be friends. There are many different degrees of "like".

In the context of the conversation I was having, "like" meant "I'm interested in you." That was a little disconcerting to me since I smile a lot at people trying to be friendly.
In my case, if I'm interested in a guy, I'm more likely to avoid eye contact with him and not smile because I get nervous/flustered. I'm such a dork ![]()

An "I'm interested in you" smile is very different to a "I'm just smiling at you because I'm affraid you're going to steal my purse, but I don't want to let on that you're spooking me out" smile or a "Why doesn't this guy just go away and leave me alone? Can't he tell that I'm just being nice, but can't stand him?" smile.
I love it when women smile at me though. Then I suddenly question the reason why she is smiling. |
