We got married then because he asked me to marry him then . We do not have long engagements in our culture and we, more or less always, marry on a Saturday - so he truthfully proposed that Wednesday, I believe, and we were married that weekend. We also don't have dress rehearsals or anything like that - you get engaged, and you get married. There's no reason to spend a fortune or postpone your life together for months.
