What is the worst thing you've done to a significant other? (hell, experience)

To follow up on the hitting a woman thread, as many had various stories of conflict. What do you think is the worst thing you've done to a significant other? It might not be physical, maybe just a time, looking back, that you feel you were especially unkind or hurtful?



Did you make amends? How? If not, do you care to now, does it still bother you?

I attempted suicide; and when I awoke and saw her next to me, I said "Why the hell didn't you let me die?"...........which I now understand was an awful thing.

It doesn't bother me now, because I believe that such experiences (for all of us) are part of what makes us better people.

I regret making my wife go through that - and she will still never accept the point that I did it for her sake, but I guess it was a lesson for both of us.

I cheated. We weren't married, but it was clear that we had an agreement and she was very hurt when she found out. I was young, then, maybe 20 years old, but I've never done that since. And I would never break that kind of trust, again.

Not long before surgery (I think less than a week) I was having a huge anxiety attack and told my girlfriend (who was upset at the time) that I couldn't deal with listening to why she was upset at the moment. I still feel pretty bad about that.

I am talking cyber here

Loved her too much and made her feel as if she was tied down and made her feel that she couldn't enjoy her real world. It was n't intentional, but that's the reality of Cyber relationships... what you really intend doesn't always come across with the same meanings to the other party.

Too many to mention to be honest and I don't really want to go into details, I still feel bad.

I've really only ever had one significant other. The worst thing that I did was to break up with him when I realized that I was not emotionally equipped to handle what he needed from the relationship.

I withheld sex from her. It was short lived. Maybe 2 or 3 minutes. I felt so guilty and ashamed, I gave in. I swear, I will never do that again to her.
