My father came into town a few weeks ago, and in one trip to my guest bathroom clogged it up. It overflowed and hasn't been the same since.
I just shut the water off in that bathroom and procrastinated.... Now that I need to fix it, I have more problems... The original problem is the water never stops filling inside the tank. It flushes fine (even now), but the tank won't stop filling up with water. So I adjusted the tank valve, and water just filled up right over it. I descided to go and buy a new tank valve, and tried to turn the water off again. Now with the water valve completely closed, water is still going into the tank! This is what the inside of my toilet looks like. ![]()

I did it!
Without reading any instructions, I removed the old valve and installed a new one. I'm glad that I have a tile bathroom! I forgot to remove the washer from the first valve - I thought that the new one would have one attached to the bottom of it. Anyway, it's working fine now. It's my wife's private bathroom. LOL!! After three weeks, she'll be out of my bathroom. Hahahaha

Do you feel flush from your success? It's good to see that you got a handle on it and that your talents did not go down the drain, eh? I could take the plunge and run on and on since I am on a roll, but I think I have had my fill. In fact, I'm feeling kind of pooped.
