Everyone has the right to go out in public and be safe. What about people who are in their homes when they get raped. I know an OLD woman who was raped in her home by a neighbour.

In the state of Georgia, rape is defined by forced vaginal penetration by a penis. Anything other than that is sexual battery or criminal sodomy. The maximum punishment for rape is execution, but offenders only usually get a minimum sentence which is really low. The minimum sentence for sexual battery or criminal sodomy is much higher, but not punishable by execution. So basically what ends up happening is that men can not by definition be raped, but their attackers (if it ever gets brought to police attention) are more likely to pay for their crime. Twisted, isn't it?

I've heard much higher numbers:
1 in 4 for women 1 in 10 for men

And what of people who are raped by someone they knew and trusted. Is it then their fault also? Should we trust no one? A woman (or man) should not have to worry about someone attacking them and raping them if they aren't paying full attention to everything going on around them. To say it is the victim's fault because she (or he) wasn't paying attention, or was dressed a certain way, or WHATEVER is horribly disrespectful and demeaning. DISRESPECTFUL AND DEMEANING. |

I think rape without consent (not all statutory) should be taken more seriously in the courts. This fifteen year crap is bogus. By all means I'm not in favor of executing them, but I'm very close to thinking rapists deserve life -- at the very least something that will show future offenders that they're going to be throwing away almost everything they love.

I believe that if a man is convicted of rape he has 30 days to present enough evidence to show his innosence, in which case it is reviewed and dealt with accordingly.
Otherwise he is to be castrated. Period. No exceptions.

However, if right in the middle of it the woman says stop and the man does not stop then from that moment it is rape.

I also heard somewhere that castrating doesn't do much damage to a man's sex drive... even though it's removing the primary source of testostorone... I don't know where I heard that, I could be making it up... please correct me if I'm wrong.
