Suppose you had the ability to go back in time and stop Jesus from being crucified. Would you?

There are pretty heavy implications either way: if you say "no", you'd be siding with those who condemned Christ to death. If you say "yes", you're undermining the means by which humanity is saved.

So... which would you choose? Edit: and why?

This belief-o-matic thingie gives me a different religion every time I take the quiz.

Here is what I believe...I think:

I believe in a Creator God who is loving, but I can't understand how natural disasters that kill people could be done by a loving God. I want to blame it on an evil Satan-like spirit instead.

I don't know what I believe in regard to an incarnation of God.

I believe in a heaven, but not sure if I believe in a hell. There should be some sort of punishment, but I don't know whether I think it would be for those who don't believe in God or those who do evil acts.

I think we should try to live simply and help poor people and fight injustice.

I don't agree with wars and violence.

Help me out! I'm such a mess!

However, that isn't the same as saying "there is no God".

Ever since the beginning of my studies of various religions and spiritual paths, one thing has remained consistent: that the concept of God is not homogenous. One thing many people forget is that not everyone believes in the same type of God. Meaning, not everyone believes in a omnipresent, monotheistic deity; a Pantheisitc universe; or Panentheistic being. There are many different varieties of the God concept and I have discovered mine: Transtheism.

Transtheism - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

As far as I'm concerned, God is not an angry old man in Roman attire in the sky who will smite you if you vote for the wrong politician or did something naughty last night whom is also separate from its own creation. Nor is it a being that is the universe or part of the universe. To me, God is the Tao. The Dharma. The Logos. The subjective reality. God does not exist, but God IS existence. God simply just is. Nothing more. Nothing less. God is a philosophy, of which we all have our own interpretation.

Thoughts?

Today I was thinking about my faith, and about how I am unable to attend a mandir or have a guru teach me. I've been teaching myself basically, and depending on God to guide me along. But sometimes I feel a little down and overwhelemed because there is so much that I have yet to learn, and there is an infinite amount of information that I still don't quite grasp.

Have you ever felt like this? What do you do when you feel this way?

You can lie to yourself and to a degree believe something by Choice. However this is denial.

So if you truly believe in a Religion or god is it really a choice? And if your an Atheist is it really a choice? I know we can always re-evaluate the evidence but can we really chance how we look the world as easily as switching sides? I know opinions can change over time but is it possible to simply change ones view on the basis of "choice"?

The question of why I was placed in this crazed world to do a deed for the emancipator of peace? Why does the world so blind to reject those who are gifted? Yes maybe because they feel cheated out because they do not have similar traits and they instead make us selected ones look like monsters. Some sort of abomination that must be locked up or fed psychiatric drugs to justify their fears that we are here to make a mission of immense love to love live and prosper before the eyes of our master creator. When you are alone for so many years looking for others like me. When in the nest that you live you are placed in a point of no return just because you believe in some thing more than just the vanity of life. I have been hurt for much too long and I must put a stop to this. In hopes to find a path or people like I that can feel the magic of the world of the orb of spirit hood that have ties to law abiding God given angels. And in this same truth can spread a gospel of of Jesus without falling into error. Where do I turn to from here? Am I a medium? Like I was made be leaved some years back. While I want my talent to have no name if this will keep me in good standing with God. I have learned to love and commune with those few children of God in the world of life after death. While I continue my quest to help the living to spread the gospel even though in times I be leave they do not deserve my time and effort. I want to ask a very simple question. Is there out there out there people like I that can commune responsibly with God, his angels, and good spirits or souls that have abandoned this existence? I love my Catholic faith that mother has presented to me since young and I am very grateful for her teachings. But life leads me towards more than just this a way God has given to me to get him closer to his affairs. All I ask of you is to not hurt me more than my mother and brother with their disbelieve and poor judgement. Do I have friends in you? Did I not commit a mistake by joining this forum? Please help in my plea and cry of this earth angel. With love, and hope I await an answer thanks.... TA

Greetings, this is Abe, a fan of religion, a metalhead, and an average outsider artist. I am currently interested in occult practices and Tibetan Buddhism as well as secret societies and am interested in creating my own weird fantasy novel. I consider myself a pantheistic atheist because I believe that all gods exist in our imaginations and in our stories, art and music, but don't necessarily believe in a god that exists in real life. I have founded many of my own religions with no followers and I enjoy creating my own pantheons based off of many different themes. I look forward to discussing religions with you guys.

I was raised in the Pentecostal church but I always felt that something HUGE was missing. As my fellow brothers/sisters in the Messianic faith know, that “something” turned out to be the Torah. It was within the pages of Gen-Deut that I discovered who the Messiah really is, what He would do and why He would do it. I’ve also discovered that the Torah has more to say about the last generation (which I believe we are) than any other book or prophet in all of the Bible.
