Like anyone with a sense of curiousity, I see them as opportunities to learn - using the scientific method to find evidence.

I would contrast that with someone that, when confronted with an unknown, simply shuts down the search and declares it to be beyond understanding. You know - someone that relies on dogma to understand the natural world around them.

But I don`t know why you put the unseen in the same bag as the unknown... There are plenty of thing that we don`t see but we know exist:

Sound... Air... Odours... Germs, X-rays, radio-waves and so on.

Why is it so difficult for you to admit that you have no idea of what you are talking about? It's not an insult to admit that you are ignorant of any given subject. Heck, we all have areas of ignorance.

The embarrasing part is that you steadfastly refuse to even examine the help you've been given, while continuing to insist that everyone else around you is wrong.
