I just finished watching and, and I don’t have much to say about it. After seeing all the reviews and critiques there was nothing that I was surprised about. The movie provides absolutely no justification for treating Intelligent Design as science.
But as a critic of I.D. I felt it was my duty watch it, hear them out. And I was not impressed. But here is the link if anyone is interested. Expelled:No intelligence allowed

Yes it was quite misguided... I kept watching cause it seemed like it was gearing up to a debate between dawkins and stein....
And then they just talk... Ahh well... Im not sad that I saw it... was interesting to see that perspective. Saying nazism required darwinism and that darwinism can breed nazism was particularly revolting even with the disclaimer: not always. A similar vein of logic is made against religion... it leads to burning witches, crusades etc but not always.... You can see the similiarity there... However many religions support darwinism and the theory of evolution so to me this is just picking the wrong battle. They can make these false correlations and try to appeal to the emotional response but in this case any serious study shows the emperor has no clothes... (In the counter arguments I particularly was abhorred to see the argument made that people have been breeding animals for years and why wouldnt the idea of breeding humans logically follow?) Eugenics was it? Don't Transhumanists support some more palatable form of this?

I just stay away from movies that have any connection to politics, because there is so little chance that it is fair. Movie-making is so precise and edited, everything goes through the director's hands before going on the screen. Expelled, Michael Moore, anything about Iraq... even enjoyable documentaries, if there is an element of "persuasion" that might have an impact on politics or elections, falseness is inevitable.

The notion that some good ideas can be taken from any argument fails with this movie. The repeated use of Nazi imagery, the actual visit to Dachau bearing no relevance on the issues of evolutionary theory or atheism and already having read the cases about the so called persecuted college professors.......... it was complete garbage and the film has no redeeming virtue at all.

It did a great job of revealing the depth of the stupidity of Ben Stein, and his devout support of willful ignorance in the face of overwhelming evidence. Now THAT, my friend, is redeeming social value.
