The idea of a 'builder' simply comes from human minds that refuse not to have 'an answer for everything', even if the invented answer is utter fantasy, and completely evidence-free.
The beauty comes from billions of years of evolution of galaxies, stars, planets and lifeforms. It's pretty special isn't it?

Everything that exists, exists the way it exists as an expression of energy, and the ways that energy can and can't express itself.
Does the fact that energy has such consistent limitations mean that something is imposing it's will on it? We don't know. But the limitations are there, and they are consistent, and the result is an ordered universe exactly like the one we have. I don't see how atheism can explain this any better than theism can. |

So if I go to Yosemite National Park and say, 'this is beautiful'. Are you going to say, 'no it's not'? Because I'm pretty sure you'd be 100% wrong.
Philosophy can only go as far as experience. Anyone who has seen something beautiful will never agree with you, no matter how much you talk. |

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, not in what is being beheld.

Totally true, I'm just saying that his current argument is going to convince anybody. Also, are you saying Yosemite ISN'T beautiful.
I'd like to see someone answer that with a straight no, rather than some sort of philosophical jargon to justify their answer. |

However, that is not the point. An opinion is merely an opinion regardless of how many people agree with it.

Yes, but if everyone thinks that something is beautiful, then doesn't that counter the argument that beauty is ONLY in the eye of the beholder?
