Just a Theory... (evolution, God, science, diseases)

Hi All...

well..there is a question in my mind, ..when Evolution is just a theory than how can the athiests blindly rely on it....I mean don't they think and ponder over everything around..

precise and point to point answers will be appreciated..no lenghty stuff and cutting pasting...

I guess just as hard as religious people blindly follow their God..
You follow what you believe, not what is most convenient. Their is lots of evidence that indicates evolution is a good theory, like parts of the body that have no function and looking at bonestructures from people from the past. You didn't want long replys, so read some evolutionthreads for that.
On the other hand, I never saw anything at all that indicates God exist. ever..

So, I choose to follow the theory of no God, blindly if you wish to hear..

As a lot of people have already pointed out for thousands of time, the most sure thing you can obtain in science is a theory! Irrefutable facts are only used in mathematics, which relies on axioms. We can blindly rely on it because all the evidence presented points out the basis of the theory is correct. Theories are constantly evolving, and the evolution theory itself also evolves, yet the basis will remain untouched. It is this basis we accept as 100% true, while slight changes and improvements will always be made further perfecting and completing the theory. It will always remain a theory, even if it is 99,99999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999 9999999999999999999999% accurate, since something that is 100% true and complete cannot be created. What I suggest is that anti-evolutionists look up more information about evolution, how it works, what evidence there is for the theory etc... because to be honest, I have yet to meet 1 anti-evolutionists that even understands the basic process of how evolution works.

There must be a hundred threads on RF that can answer that question for you. Use the search function to find them. Short answer: you don't understand what theory means in this context.

I think this forum should have a warning notice, when someone joins it. Do not make posts about .......(such and such). This thread would be at the top of the list.

Sorry mehrosh, science can prove a lot about the world in which we live. Religions can't prove anything; they are based on Faith.

I like your answer, ...I have read a lot about evolution....but you know at many times science has taken a U-TURN......for example,,, SCIENCE AT ONE TIME BELIEVED THAT THE EARTH IS FLAT....anyone going against this opinion was tought to be Mentally Retarded....simlarily you don't understand why some people blindly put there faith in god when no one can see HIM....RIGHT..?

Blindly following something means that one is harming one's ownself knowingly....To find and seek the truth is what the smart people do...

They say....Smart people are not those who know what they know...but those who know what they don't know....Agree?

I can safely state that "science" never believed that the earth is flat.
