Is there any way for the OP to know if these were in the Garden of Eden? And if they were, were they harmful to man at that time, or did they mutate later when man disobeyed and was then appointed to die, or did an intelligent being prevent them from being harmful to man at one time? These are questions that need to be answered before we can accept the premise of the OP.

There was NO garden of Eden even if you believe in it, Until cynobacteria evolved photosythesis around 3.2 billion years ago. We didn't have the atmophere we have today. Not to mention here we have fossils of plants evolving into flowers for reproduction. So basically there were NO flowers until about 125 million years ago. NOVA | First Flower | PBS |

Yes, Interesting Pegg, humans have around 500 species just in the digestive tract which are essential for digestion.
Did Adam and Eve have gut flora for digestion? Not to mention how many are within us in general for all kinds of reasons. We have a symbiotic realtionship with them. |
