Can someone tell me exactly what they mean when they say intelligent design?

Does I.D. account for the creation of the universe?

Did the I.D.er design all life? I mean to say, would life not found on Earth (alien) still be I.D.d?

Or, did the I.D.er simply create the first life forms and let things take their course?

What I.D.d the I.D.er?

Can anyone put a name on this I.D.er?

It probably depends on who you are talking to. I believe so.

I do not believe so, but there are some who think this way(Deists I believe are one)
