Outrage at Cartoons Still Tests the Danes - New York TimesIslam's intolerance of criticism and love of censorship is going to eventually clash with the free world. It is inevitable. You simply CANNOT be tolerant of intolerance and consider yourself to be in a moral state of mind. Islam needs to accept the fact that other viewpoints should be ALLOWED to exist. What's ironic about this whole thing is that the response of Muslims to a cartoon depicting Mohammed with a bomb under his turban is to attempt to assasinate the cartoonist responsible for it.

Conservative religious values have ever locked horns with more liberal social & cultural values. If there is a major factor in the last decade making it worse its been the deliberate heating & stirring of that pot by hateful power-greedy individuals who know how to manipulate the masses.
