The latest Bond girl, Sarajevo's own Ivana Milicevic, was interviewed by OBN about her role as Valenka in Casino Royale. Here are some of the more interesting bits...

How does it feel to be Bosnia's first Bond girl?
"Like a dream come true. I have been already in many movies overseas and it really is a pleasure each time but they've all been limited in public appeal. Casino Royale is going to be seen by millions of people and it is very exciting for me. I've been have some troubles as well because of this. As you know, I am Roman Catholic and ethnically a Bosnian Croat, so all my fan sites say I am Croatian. These people think they love me, yet insult me so terribly as to deny my nationality because of their nationalism. I have to send personal e-mails and say: I am Sarajevan, and I am Bosnian."

What was is like working on a major, American film?
"Everything is very strict, yes? You're here at this time, and that's it. It's so different from working on Bosnian movies, it's more relaxed. Acting is thought of something you cannot so unless you are in the mood to do it, like writing. But in America acting is like a riding a bike, if they say: do it! Then you have to do it. It was a lot of fun, though. There was a lot of excitement among us with more minor roles because for us it is a big thing. Have the top make-up and hair stylists also was very nice, and I got to wear very nice fashions. I lived in America a long time, but I felt like a real woman, and because I was a Bond girl I still got to be European. I didn't have to fake this agressive confidence that American women have. I had to be sexually confident, which, you know, it's easy for our girls, yes?"

What can Bosnian fans expect from Casino Royale?
"Another great Bond movie. I also managed to sneak some surprises into the film. They meant nothing to anyone else, but the Bosnians who watch this film will see and be surprised, they will recognize. But I won't say what, it's surprises."

So, what were the surprises?
I failed to see anything that she would be suggestiong, but then, I live in Michiana, USA.

Pretty good movie.

^ No idea, I've not seen it yet! I'd say it's some Bosnian symbols somewhere or something. I mean, realistically what could she have snuck on?

Or perhaps i specific article of clothing?

Since I am admitedly ignorant of her native culture, I have not any clue, merely guesses.

However, now my curiosity is up.
And I just HATE an unsatified curiosity!!

She is a fox! I will probably see this Bond flick, but they are losing their appeal to me over time.

This one was pretty good... focussed more on the character than they usually do and made him seem more human, a lot of cool action sequences and scenarios... plus the newly found love of texas hold em comes into play.
