Lejla Adrovic won, I can't believe it. She wasn't the prettiest. Sarajevo's Jelena Jugovic should've had it, out of the finalists. That girl from Sanski Most, and the other with the yellow bikini, were much prettier.
This marks the fourth major pageant in the last year won by a girl from Tuzla. In addition, a girl from Tuzla has won the overall Miss Bosnia pageant for the last three years. And this is the city with the wealthiest mafia families. Some of which have names like Gazdic, Adrovic, and all these other semi-pretty beauty queens.I'm getting annoyed. ![]() JELENA JUGOVIC! GO JELENA! SARAJEVO PRIDE! Hahaha... That girl, the sporty one, in the first video... hahaha. She really showed the other nervous girls how to dance. That was good.

Mila,
I have to admit. I'm concerned. The day after you post a thread about the model dying from anorexia, you post this. Do you see the connection? Beauty pagents do not celebrate a healthy beauty. In fact, most contestants have liposuction done on their inner thighs and I expect they do much more. Many have such a low fat % that they no longer mensutrate. How can this be healthy? And yet so many are willing to parade this around as the ideal women should be striving for. It's sad. |

One of the girls there is sickly thin, the blonde girl. But these are all village girls. A few from Banja Luka, one from Sarajevo. It's a very minor pageant with a very small budget - this is the Aqua Hotel in Sarajevo. None of these girls have had any work done, of that you can be certain. They're just high school girls trying to find a better life. This is why such pageants only attract girls from poor places.
People from wealthier families, wealthier areas, will go for the overall Miss Bosnia. It's only people who really need it that go for the lesser pageants. So trust me, I will cut off my own leg and eat it if any of these girls even has a proper dentist, much less plastic surgery. I promise. As for the thin, this is normal look here. I mean... I can eat 10 more meals a day and I'm not going to change much from what I am. Most of them are healthy looking. As I said - there's just one that's grossly skinny, that you can tell she is too skinny for her body. The rest... there's one more that's a bit if... but the rest are all good. My favorite is actually a bit heavy by Bosnian standards: ![]() ![]() It's just the Slavic look. I mean... you go straight from Russia, south to Montenegro, and everywhere in between, and in every country you will find the majority of young ladies are this size and shape. That is why the majority of models are Slavic. Our shape isn't going to change. We didn't get a nice bum, we don't often get nice breasts, but we got very tall and very thin figures. When that taste is no longer popular in the West, then our models will no longer rule the worldwise industry - because our shape is not going to change. You want to tell a Caucasian woman she can't get an African woman's bum by doing crunches, you tell her. But don't tell the African woman her bum is too big and she's eating too much. It just won't change. Men that like the big, perfect shaped bums, they go for African. Men that like tall, lean, they go Slavic. Men that like rounded, but slim, they go Hispanic. It's just the way it works. But I mean, to think these girls are not representative of the wider Slavic people is foolish. I'm smaller than half of them and I eat 4 meals a day, all deep fried. LOL

I don't even know how to respond to that. I think you've completely missed the point.

I don't believe I have. You look at the average Miss Hickville Alabama pageant, and those girls are going to be pretty average, Hickville girls. That's just the way it works. There's not going to be many there anorexic, with plastic surgery, and all of that. Especially in a poor country like Bosnia. These girls parents probably make less than $2,000 US a year.
And you can argue against pageants - why does there have to be? But that's culture. It's not like it's a runway with anorexic models and unfair expectations. It's normal, Bosnian girls and the impression they give is only what 90% of the people are anyways. I mean, half of those girls - the second princess (second runner up) especially, are not even attractive at all. So it's not like it's an impossible standard of beauty.
