But there's nothing to get? You're looking at this from a Western point of view that just doesn't apply here. Pageants in Bosnia are not Jon Benet Ramsey, they're not... even considered an unhealthy thing. They've been going on for centuries, since there were lotteries for harems in Turkey.

It's like discussing in America whether putting an American flag on the house makes me want to be more patriotic - no one cares because it doesn't affect people that way. It's just in the background, and it's forgotten.

And thinking these girls are anorexic is just wrong. You can't compare a country where 1/3 is overweight to one where 1/4,800 yes. This is just how women look when they're healthy. And you combine that with the natural character of the Slavic people.

People find it much easier to recognize structural differences in body shape when the skin color is different. When you say... black men generally have bigger penises, people believe it because they're black. When you say Asian people are generally shorter and much thinner, people believe it because they're Asian. But when you say Slavic people are taller and thinner, even though it's proven they are (Serbia has the tallest average height in Europe, more than a foot higher than the average height in Greece, which is just 30-minute flight away) - white people in the West respond like you're saying something crazy.

But I mean... you look at the modelling industry. 20 years ago you wouldn't find a Slavic model on the runways. The look was Swedish - flat stomach, wide hips, narrow shoulders, smooth face. Now it's Slavic - extremely tall, thin, no bust, no bum. You have exceptions, like Tyra Banks who has a large bust, but these are supermodels and they're generally a little better off health wise than the nameless girls in the industry. This look is going to change again, and what that does to women's impressions of themselves around the world - we'll tell.

But the pageants in Bosnia will still be going, and the girls will still be the same, normal size. And no one's going to even blink or think about such a thing.

Ana Carolina Reston was Brazilian, and worked in France. She had absolutely no connection to Bosnia, she's part of the wider fashion industry - something most Bosnian models are far too large to even make it in.

I'll spell it out for you since you can't figure it out for yourself and since you're now making pointless accusations.

The new globalized world has decided that sick-looking girls are the standard of beauty that is to be strived for. Since Day 1, you have been posting images of these so-called beauties. You're so obsessed with it you don't even realize what you're doing. In fact, the moment you have a realization that these models are not well (remember you posted the girl dying yesterday), you turn around and go back to the model world. You argue that the girls in the videos you posted today aren't sick...well, you admit that perhaps one or two are sick, but that's OK. After all, it's only one or two and besides, us Bosnian women are naturally tall and then and wanted the WORLD over. Give me a break. By your own confession, at least one looks sick. As for the others, they are in a beauty pageant. Typically, pageants are progressive. If you do well in the local pageant you move up to a larger geographic region. This process continues until you end up with Miss Bosnia...Miss Universe...etc. So, while only one of these girls looks sick now all of them are heading towards the path that will lead to them each getting sick. It's because all of them are probably obsessessed with this sick image of beauty that is growing in every culture. It's because they all want to look like the model who died recently.

Before you make another post why don't you sit back and take a minute to think.
