I had to look them up --we'd all be dead if you had to rely on me inputting the numbers every 2 hours.
This post is for LOST theories (the television show). The third season begins in just under 2 weeks. Any theories on what the numbers mean?

According to the DHARMA website the numbers are representative of the Valenzetti equation. Suposedly it's a (fictional) mathematical formula that predicts the exact date the world will end.
Kinda ironic since Desmond said he was "just saving the world" http://www.valenzettiequation.com/ NOTE: According to the producers of the show Gary Troup was the man sucked into the jet engine in the first episode.

Accoding to the wikipedia, the producers have debunked the purgatory theory. It's still a cool idea though.
