Freaks and Wackos: In appropriate rhetoric?

Can we seriously question the appropriateness of using the term freak, wacko, or wierdo to label our opponents who are wholly irrational, inconsistent, or just plain wierd? I mean, is there really such a person who is *gasp* actually a wacko or a freak?

Well BangBang,
I may have to reconsider. This is much more extreme than putting socks in one's pants. If it gets chicks, then so be it... However, if this girl ever leaves him, he might regret....

Well, the man does have the word 'freak' tattooed onto his chest...so I guess he doesn't have a problem with being called one.
 Really, my first thoughts upon seeing him were "OW!!", followed closely by "I wonder what else he could do with that tongue...".
