What do you think about these laws?

Youth Day laws 'undermine basic rights' - ABC News (Australian Broadcasting Corporation)

I couldn't be bothered protesting against the pope, but I don't think anyone should be stopped on the basis of causing "annoyance" or "inconvenience" to pilgrims.

Just because they're catholic means nothing to most of the country. If our country is truelly democratic we should be allowed to do what i want, if they don't want us to prom ote sexual health to them then thats their problem.
Catholic leaders cannot expect Australia to stand still for something like 15% of the population. Im only here in Aus for another week, im sick of the gargabe here already.

I lived in Australia for 6 years, im a citizen lol. My parents keep me updated with everything that goes on when im away.
What annoyed me most was the fact you can get arrested for "annoying" the catholics. Do Australians have freedom of speech or not?

I think it would be worth jail time to throw a meat pie at the pope when he drives past in his little car
To be honest our laws are a joke, not just youth day laws. Dole bludgers as well as aboriginals make a decent income, almost as much as someone who has to slave away to make an honest income. Im all for complete freedom of speech and "if you don't work you don't get paid"

You will have to go a bit further to explain your politics in opposition to the Pope.

In the meantime, do not waste a good meat pie.

Australia is a very multicultural society, i feel it is wrong to have such harsh laws to favour the catholic sect when these laws would not be exercised for any other religion. Since the pope is the leader, he deserves my wrath
