After Tampa, WMD etc, etc ..What do you think of Howard's ploy to paint Rudd as arrogant, disengenuous, and manipulative? On the other hand, Howard is cast now in the light of having integrity, being humble, and someone we can have confidence in because we know what he stands for.

They're both politicians, I don't think either of them are pillars of integrity and transperancy, so I think any mudslinging from either side is a tad on the hypocritical side, and I think politics by its very nature involves of degree of manipulation, so again, I don't think either of them can plead innocence in that respect
That being said, I do think Rudd needs to be a little careful that he doesn't get too ahead of himself just because of a couple of polls. Don't forget the Mark Latham was ahead in the polls early on as well and he (thankfully) crashed and burned come election time. Just my ramblings, Steve |

As Lug said, they're both politicians...at that level of politics I'm not sure those qualities assigned to Rudd aren't mandatory for everyone involved.
