It's easy to talk about until you see it
I think everyone should see these things more often. It's so easy to sit back and rationalize away why we don't pay attention to what goes on in the world and what other people are doing to other people. It's so easy to talk about medieval times, the inquisition, holocaust, rwanda etc. I don't think any of us including me have any idea at all.

I'm sorry. I was looking for something online and I stumbled upon the first one. It was very humbling in an extremely sad way, that most of us will never experience anything like any of that.

I'm grateful that I don't live in a chaotic society.
That being said, I had a pet mouse one time who ate her baby's heads off. Male lions will kill the offspring of other male lions. Black widow spiders kill their mates. The animal kingdom is red of tooth and claw. Maybe we just aren't all that far removed from other animals.
