i love it when old people get there but kicked when there rude, there are always those that think that just because they haven't died for a while longer then the rest that they can get away with everything

What a load of crap. I mean, it is true that what she has done, at least here in my state, is an offence called "theft by finding" and technically has a maximum sentence of 15 years, but at the same time, the kids are guilty of another offence, "play games to the annoyance of", but unfortnately, it is only a summary (misdemeanour?) offence here, punishable at most with not more than 5 years, but in both cases, each party would be assured of getting no more that a good behaviour bond of 6 months and no conviction recorded.

Wow. How reassuring that "theft by finding" could possibly lead me to spend 15 years in jail and playing annoying games could possibly land me in the clinker for 5.

The law is a JOKE! Hahahaha!!

Suppose I am 89 years old and cannot move much, and even if I could, have to preserve my energies for managing my own work like cooking, washing etc. to live and in between if some ball keeps landing in my yard, is it possible for me to walk to the lawn, fetch the ball and return it every time it happens?
Maybe the best thing would be to spent the rest of my life in jail where the govt. is bound to take care of me.
Shall accept whatever comes my way.

Why is she being rude? The father, himself, said it was an ongoing thing with the kids balls ending up in her yard. Sounds to me like it is the father with the problem. You know full well the kids weren't probably the ones that called the police. It had to be the father. And if the kids keep playing so that their toys are always ending up on her property then I'm sure she has repeatedly told the father to keep his kids away from her yard. It's called consideration. The father should have instructed his children to be more careful or they would lose the ball. At least, I know that is what my father would do when I was a child, and I would as well.

This case is pathetic. Personally, I feel the father is being a twit for pressing charges.

Yup, I've been fed up with it for years. They should get rid of maximum sentences, which they never impose anyway, and bring in mandatory MINIMUM penalties, that way the community can start feeling some real justice.

Just maybe granny got tired of the kid's ball landing in her yard and went out ONCE and retrieved it. If some kid or kids kept throwing their ball in my yard I would confiscate it too after a stern warning.
