no one has put forwards an alternative punishment to capital punishment, you are assuming that i would not want her in solitary confinement for the rest of her life - how can she kill when she has no physical contact with anyone? like i have already said, i don't like how prisons are at the moment, i think they should be a lot harsher.

now again, what risk will be posed to the public?

It's for the very fact that life has value that this argument is even taking place. Who truly has the ability to assign value to a life? If we are to take life and death seriously (as we should), we can't make value judgements on another's life based on a short news article that really explains very little about the circumstances.

That woman had to have been very mentally disturbed. How could she not be? What she did was extremely horrible, but how is putting her to death ending the negativity of the incident? It may indeed be merciful; I don't know. But I don't think it's justified to be calling for blood with so little information. That creeps me out just as much as the news article.
