well at least you can say you are consistant since you don't approve of abortion. Usually, when I get into a debate with somebody about the death penalty, they end up supporting abortion and their position makes no sense at all.

i don't support abortion on a whim but under certain circumstances i think it's ok, i wouldn't expect a woman who has been raped to keep the child because of my anti abortion views but i don't think it shouldbe a form of contraception!

Your argument about the anti-death penalty has just been thrown straight out of the window!
You can not be against one form of MURDER (the death penalty) and for another MURDER (abortion in the case of rape).

Let me pose one question to you: If that was your little son/daughter, how would you feel then? Would it be ok then to have the death penalty? Because i can tell you now that if you were ever put into that situation, your values, morals, views, opinions, lifestyle, hairstyle.......................he he, basically your whole life would change.

Put those shoes on, and when you take them off, put them to your nose and see how much they stink.

Not only do I agree with the death penalty in this case...I hope they lower the wattage a little bit so that it takes a little longer this time around.

I don't support the death penalty in every situation, but I do in this one.

if we as a society are so against killing that we list it as a morally wrong and illegal action, why do we use killing (a morally wrong and illegal action) as punishment?

I'm not against killing, I'm against murder. Killing is indeed a warranted action at times. I believe in the idea that human beings can loose their right to life. This is real simple folks, you don't want to get put on death row? Stop murdering people.

The death penalty removes the chance of the murderer from killing innocent people again. Life imprisonment doesn't hold that guarantee because there's always the chance of them escaping and killing again, or they kill someone in prision.
